Insurance Map Sample
UIG (United Insurance Group) needed their sales territories designated by
state. Using a database file associated with zip code boundary polygons and a
database file supplied by the client, a territory map could be generated. The
zip code boundaries were merged to form the sales territories.
This type of map could be useful for any customized regions or territories
made from zip codes, census tracts, or area codes. The coverage area can also be
increased or decreased. Other information can placed on the map or taken off,
such as roads, rivers, lakes, etc.
