Antique Reproduction of the World in 1867 This is a reproduction made from an actual antique map we recently acquired. Done n 1867 by a foreign map-maker, it required an act of Congress to get this world map approved.  We have scanned it and plotted on our high-resolution plotter. The result is a map you can frame that looks just like the antique.  The original is worth over $400 so we can't sell it on the web. But if you come to Charlotte, we'd be happy to show it to you. It's so interesting to take a close look at this map and see how history has changed political boundaries over the last 146 years. Note how Africa has places called "unexplored regions".
