Fuller Projection World map
The Fuller Projection World Map is named after Buckminster
Fuller, the inventor of the Geodesic Dome. He realized that concept of creating
round objects from triangular shapes could solve the age-old problem of
accurately projecting a round world on a flat map.
The
beauty of this map is that it has very little
distortion of the shapes or relative sizes of the continents.
This map can even be cut along some of the lines and made into
a geodesic globe. Optionally,
we can mount walnut-grained rails on the
top and bottom to give it a professional appearance when it hangs in your
office. .
