How to Ship Maps Internationally

We have tried to ship maps with Fedex and other airfreight companies. The shipping often costs more the the map. We have found that the US Mail is the only cost effective way to ship maps and globes overseas. There's one exception. It is virtually impossible to ship mounted maps or globes to Australia. Fedex is starting to charge almost $300 to ship a framed map or globe to Australia or New Zealand. Even the US Mail will cost $200. So as much as we'd like that business, shipping to Australia remains cost prohibitive.

For rolled maps, use a weight of 3lbs. For crated&mounted maps, enter a weight of 5 lbs. For folded maps or packages of sticker dots,  we'll send them via USPS for $15 or less.
